Barabbas

Barabbas was a notorious prisoner who was chosen by the crowd to be pardoned and released by Roman governor Pontius Pilate at the Passover feast. He was a violent man who had been convicted of murder and insurrection. But the crowd chose him over Jesus, who was innocent of any crime. This was a great injustice, but it was part of God's plan to save the world.
