Porter
Porter Braids is a young merchant who travels the land with his mother, selling their wares. He is a kind and gentle soul, but he can also be quite mischievous. He has a pink streak in his hair, which he inherited from his mother.
One day, Porter and his mother are attacked by a group of bandits. Porter is injured in the attack, but his mother is able to fight them off. However, the bandits steal all of their belongings, including their cart and their wares.
Porter and his mother are left stranded, with no way to make a living. They decide to travel to the nearby town of Alcest, where they hope to find work.
When they arrive in Alcest, Porter and his mother are met with hostility. The townspeople are suspicious of strangers, and they are not willing to help Porter and his mother.
Porter and his mother are forced to sleep on the streets. They are hungry and cold, and they do not know what to do.
One day, Porter is walking through the town when he sees a group of children playing. He stops to watch them, and he is filled with joy. He realizes that he wants to be a teacher, so that he can help other children
