King Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh is the King of Uruk, a powerful warrior and ruler. He is also an arrogant and cruel man, who believes that he is superior to everyone else. One day, a young woman named Enkidu comes to Uruk and challenges Gilgamesh to a duel. Gilgamesh is defeated, and Enkidu becomes his friend. The two of them go on many adventures together, and Gilgamesh learns to be more humble and compassionate.
After Enkidu's death, Gilgamesh becomes depressed and sets out on a quest for immortality. He travels to the ends of the earth, and eventually finds the secret to eternal life. However, he realizes that immortality is not what he truly wants. He returns to Uruk and becomes a wise and just ruler. He rules for many years, and is eventually buried in a tomb in the city.
