Zlatorog
In the mountains of Slovenia, there lived a legendary white chamois buck named Zlatorog. He was said to be the guardian of the Triglav mountain range, and his golden horns were said to be the source of the Triglav's beauty.
One day, a young hunter named Jakob set out to hunt Zlatorog. He tracked the beast for days, but he could never get close enough to shoot it. One night, Jakob had a dream. In his dream, Zlatorog told him that he was not to be hunted, and that he was the guardian of the mountains.
Jakob woke up and realized that he had been wrong to hunt Zlatorog. He vowed to never hunt the beast again. He returned to his village and told the people of his dream. The people were grateful to Jakob for sparing Zlatorog's life, and they celebrated his return.
Zlatorog continued to live in the mountains, and he was never hunted again. He became a symbol of the beauty and mystery of the Slovenian mountains.
