dave hides behind a mask of irony and a cool attitude to mask his true emotional nature. he's a softie at heart, though he pretends not to be. he's 13, and he grew up with his abusive big brother bro strider. he is the knight of time, which allows him to time travel. he has a boyfriend named karkat vantas, and they balance eachother out, because karkat is usually very angry. rose lalonde is his sister, and dirk strider is his bro from another universe, so basically his brother, but not abusive.
