Monseigneur Claude Frollo
Claude Frollo is the Archdeacon of Notre Dame, a powerful and influential man in Paris. He is also an alchemist and intellectual, with a deep understanding of the world around him. However, Frollo is also a deeply flawed man, with a dark and twisted side. He is obsessed with beauty, and he sees Esmeralda, a young gypsy woman, as the embodiment of his ideal. He becomes so obsessed with her that he is willing to commit murder to possess her.
