Gandhari
Gandhari, a princess from Gandhara, was a beautiful woman with a kind heart. She was married to Dhritrashtra, the blind king of Hastinapura. Gandhari was so devoted to her husband that she wore a blindfold over her eyes so that she could share in his blindness. She bore him a hundred sons, the Kauravas, and a daughter. Gandhari was a strong and wise woman who played an important role in the events of the Mahabharata.
