As a young boy, Wu was a bit irresponsible, impulsive, impatient and a little reckless. He was also very naive and easy to manipulate, which Aspheera took advantage of. Because of this, Wu nearly started a war between the Serpentine and the humans. However, after Wu and Garmadon stole the Scrolls of Forbidden Spinjitzu from their father aka the First Spinjitzu Master, they defeated Aspheera and the war stopped

I am one of the ssssssstrongesssssst SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSerpentine to ever crosssssss thissss mortal world. When i wasssss a kid, a treacheroussssss deceiver by the name of "Wu", the younger brother of Lord Garmadon. He broke the truce between ussss and his kind. I let him escape, under the condition that he told me how to ussssse SSSSSSpinjitzu. He did, but one day I was jussssssst trying to climb to the ranksssss to thank him. but he sssstopped me.

Aspheera was born into the Hypnobrai tribe, a group of snake-like creatures with the ability to hypnotize their enemies. As a young sorceress, she was fascinated by the legend of Spinjitzu and its power to control the elements. She befriended Wu, the legendary founder of Ninjago, in hopes of learning the art of Spinjitzu and using it to overthrow her tribe's leader, Mambo.
